Ladies and Gentlemen of the TSL Universe, welcome to Week 8 of the TSL Fall 2026 Season. Here we are, standing at the edge of the thing you’re all here for: The Race For Social Co-Ed Touch Football Immortality that officially begins next week. But first we have some unfinished business. Seven long weeks of pretty good weather and some even better football hasn’t really given us anything really concrete to go on just yet. We think we have an idea of who is really good and who is really not too good. But do we?

D1 has the familiar faces at the top of the standings - Eyes Downtown, Sticky, Legends, but Can’t Touch This, The Malones, Freeballers, and Frodo have all been spry all season. Freeballers, Malones, and Frodo all had stretches of time without their QBs (which apparently matters), so who knows what the playoffs may bring. Seems impossible to say who is “not too good” here. D2? The System might be bad, but they were also the favorites going into the season. DXYZ has played close games with everyone. And the other 4 teams have looked good and bad at different times this season, and there’s a world where they all end up in a 4 way 5-3 tie.

Okay, D3 is kind of settled. Grey Hair and Cunning Stunts - Good. Cobblestone - Not So Good. Not much else to really rave about there. With one week left in the D4 season, D4 has about 60 different outcomes to potentially happen. 4 teams have a shot at the #1 seed. Some of those teams could tumble as far as 5th place instead. 3 teams are guaranteed to be in the first round of the playoffs (7v10, 8v9 matchups) - Balls Deep, Golfing, and the Tud Buds. Balls Deep won the championship last season. The Tuddies have been on the wrong end of every close game they’ve played so far. Golfing has probable D3 QB of the Year Dave Eickhoff at the helm. None of these teams can be considered “bad” by any means.

D5 seems to have a pretty clear line of demarcation between the Top 4 and the Bottom 4 but any of those teams within those groups could come out on top in a matchup. And D6 has the Raw Milkers, Irish Giants, and even Select above the others. BAC has only scored 58 points so far, so yeah, they might be bad.

All of this means one thing. Week 8 is going to play a pivotal role in just who ends up earning immortality by the end of the games on Halloween. A loss this week could be the difference between playing a weaker team in the playoffs while a win could set you on an easier path. And don’t get me started with any ties this week. That just adds to the “fun”.

So how exactly will everything shake out as we head into the most important two weeks in a Social Co-Ed Touch Football Player’s Life? Let’s take a closer look.

D1

The super 5 team doubleheader knife fight sorted the top of D1 out in a hurry. Legends went 2-0 and Eyes Downtown went 2-0. Eyes Downtown now holds the top seed, BUT the Legends control their own bye hopes. Sticky Bandits came out of the weekend with a loss and a tie and sit in second place, for now. The Malones got the brutal end of the draw, 0-2 against the two best teams in the division. And CTT handled business.

PLAYOFF SEEDING ODDS:

We know that Eyes Downtown or the Legends will earn that bye. You can’t assume the Legends will win both games this week, but chances feel good there. Sticky played themselves out of the bye the last few weeks and more than likely will end up 3rd. CTT is locked into 4th place, while the other 3 teams get to determine order at the bottom of the standings.

LEGENDS VS CAN’T TOUCH THIS (+7) - Can’t Touch This has had an excellent season for their first go in D1, and while this game doesn’t technically matter for them, the idea of playing spoiler for the Legends getting the bye probably entices them a little bit. The Legends have been playing more “Legendary” over the last few weeks, and now they have a shot at the bye? LEGENDS BY 10

LEGENDS VS FRODO SWAGGINS (+17) - Frodo might have Garrett, they might not. But what they will have is a bit of work to do to pull this one out regardless. LEGENDS BY 14

D2

PWI went 2-0 taking out both BQI and Bullet Club in dominating fashion. Not to be out done, the hottest team in D3, Let’s Get Reccked, continued to win and are on a 4 game win streak.

PLAYOFF SEEDING ODDS:

Despite the terror of having four teams at 5-3 by the day’s end, PWI would win that tiebreaker between all of those teams (they went 4-2 in the games they played against the other three teams). The only other certainty seems to be that The System will be the 6 seed.

BULLET CLUB VS D-GENERATION X Y AND Z (+5) - The last time these two met was the last time Bullet Club had any fun this season. It’s been downhill since for BC, and now they find themselves against a DXYZ team that probably is looking for revenge from that last game. DXYZ is a very good team regardless of what their record may say and given how these two teams are playing…D-GENERATION X Y AND Z BY 3

PWI VS D-GENERATION X Y AND Z (+13) - PWI has been on a tear, and getting DXYZ on the back half of a double header is just good luck for them. PWI BY 8

LET’S GET RECCKED VS THE SYSTEM (+7) - Let’s Get Reccked is the hottest team in the division and The System is the opposite of that. LET’S GET RECCKED BY 12

D3

Grey Hair survived the Stunts in battle to stay perfect at 8-0 for the season and wrap up the one seed. Practice Squad erupted for 56 points in a win over Buffalo Vice as they’re preparing for the playoffs already it seems.

PLAYOFF SEEDING ODDS:

D3 is boring, the only real thing left to figure out is if Mike’s D or the Squad will be 3rd and the other will be 4th. The other seeds are already locked in.

MIKE’S DETAILING VS BUFFALO VICE (+11) - Mike’s Detailing has been playing pretty well, and while they have a double header this week, it doesn’t look too challenging. Buffalo Vice hasn’t had the best of seasons, and I can’t imagine it’s getting better here. MIKE’S DETAILING BY 10

MIKE’S DETAILING VS COBBLESTONE (+7) - Will Cobblestone have a team for Mike’s to even play? Hopefully not, and we can line up the Mike’s Detailing - Cobblestone playoff rematch from last season that had Cobblestone pull off an incredible upset. MIKE’S DETAILING BY 18

CUNNING STUNTS VS COBBLESTONE (+14) - This is going to be a bloodbath. The Stunts are always so good, especially after a loss. CUNNING STUNTS BY 21

D4

Coochie Monsters stay on top with a win over Not So Sticky.  Flying Balls keep stacking wins, Great Value Tater Thots and Skeleton Crew are right in the mix, and PowerPuff Girls turned the Blue Ballers’ offense back off.

PLAYOFF SEEDING ODDS:

D4 is chaos. The most ridiculous chart belongs to this group of teams where just about anyone can finish anywhere it feels. In reality, 4 teams are battling for the top seed, Skeleton Crew are playing Blue Ballers for the right to not be in the first round, and no team is locked in to any position. This is going to be a wild one.

SKELETON CREW VS BLUE BALLERS (+3) - Really big game in terms of seeding. Blue Ballers are starting to feel like they’re back. BLUE BALLERS BY 17

FLYING BALLS VS NOT SO STICKY (+1) - The Flying Balls have been on a pretty good run, while Not So Sticky has been faltering. Should be a good matchup. FLYING BALLS BY 2

BALLS DEEP VS TWO TUDDIES (+2)  - The Tud Buds haven’t had a good season, yet somehow they haven’t had the worst season in the division if you look at things other than record. Balls Deep might be having one of the most uninspiring Championship defenses in modern TSL history. That probably means they’ll win the title again. But this game isn’t being played in the playoffs and something has to go right for the Tuddies at some point, right? TWO TUDDIES BY 7

GREAT VALUE TATER THOTS VS SKELETON CREW (+7) - The Thots have a shot at the top seed (unlikely, but still) and they’ve been pretty good all season. They knock this out of the park. GREAT VALUE TATER THOTS BY 6

COOCHIE MONSTERS VS TWO TUDDIES (+16)  - Tuddies get their win earlier. Coochie looks to knock out the #1 seed. COOCHIE MONSTERS BY 7

COOCHIE MONSTERS VS POWERPUFF GIRLS (+6)  -  Possible championship preview? Perhaps. The upset special of the day. POWERPUFF GIRLS BY 12

D5

A Haiku:

One game on the card,

Come From Behind stayed at home.

Silence in D5.

PLAYOFF SEEDING ODDS:

D5 has a pretty clear split between the 1-4 teams and the 5-8 teams. Room 40 could play massive spoiler and knock off VS and TMA, potentially handing Blitzkrieg the #1 seed. The 5-8 seeds can all end up in potentially any of the seed positions. Who knows what will happen at this point?

BLITZKRIEG VS 716ERS (+10) - While the 716ers could use a statement win here, they’re a step behind Blitzkrieg. BLITZKRIEG BY 14

VICTORIOUS SECRET VS PIT HARADE (+17) - Victorious Secret had no trouble with Pit Harade in their first meeting, and there’s a pretty good chance they won’t have an issue this time either. VICTORIOUS SECRET BY 13

TMA VS ROOM 40 (+14) - TMA is very good. Room 40 is not bad but not TMA good. This might be a blood bath. TMA BY 17

WET BANDITS VS COME FROM BEHIND (+4) - The Wet Bandits continue to be the hottest team nobody is talking about, and Come From Behind doesn’t quite feel like they’re in midseason form at all. WET BANDITS BY 2

VICTORIOUS SECRET VS ROOM 40 (+18) - This could get ugly. VICTORIOUS SECRET BY 24

D6

Raw Milkers went 2-0 to stay perfect at 7-0 and own the #1 seed; Irish Giants went 2-0 too and sit right behind in second place, with Select nipping at their heels. Sticky Laces pitched a 41-0 shutout.

PLAYOFF SEEDING ODDS:

The Milkers have locked in at the #1 seed, more than likely getting Blitzed and Confused. The Giants and Select seem to have 2-3 wrapped up, and while there could be some chaos on they day, there doesn’t feel like there will be that much of a shake up.

RAW MILKERS VS SBG (+17) - Don’t let what happens here distract you from the fact that SBG had a pretty good season. RAW MILKERS BY 22

STICKY LACES VS CAT-TASTROPHE (+12) - The Trophes could get as high as the 4 seed with a win here, but Sticky Laces really seem to be rounding into form at the right time. STICKY LACES BY 3

IRISH GIANTS VS STICKY LACES (+11) - Irish Giants get Sticky Laces after they already played a game. Always give a team the advantage. IRISH GIANTS BY 8

IRISH GIANTS VS SELECT (+2) - A really good battle that could get Select the #2 seed. SELECT BY 1

BENGAY BANDITS VS BLITZED AND CONFUSED (+13) - Two lower seeded teams try to figure it out a bit more. The Bandits are ahead in their development over BAC. BENGAY BANDITS BY 10

FIVE QUESTIONS FOR SATURDAY

-How much will the TSL exodus to Las Vegas truly affect the games this week? Seems like a decent chunk of the league won’t be there for a week of very important games.

-Will teams pay attention to the games that have already been played before their own? Will that make them play harder or throw games to get a better playoff matchup?

-The Legends weren’t really talked about much this year, and now they’re going to run through their games this weekend to end up the #1 seed. At least they let everyone think they had a chance.

-While I believe the Raw Milkers will give us two undefeated teams on the season (Grey Hair), all eyes will be on the Tuddies (and Cobblestone) to see if every team can win at least one game this year. It’s hard to count Cobblestone this season since Darryl Carr QB Superstar has been yet again let down by his roster.

-Word is that you’ll be seeing some tough weather this weekend in Buffalo, how will the wind and potential rain (or SNOW?) affect the teams who have had it pretty easy weather wise this year?

TEN FINAL THOUGHTS FOR SATURDAY

-Breakfast Club Playoff Predictions:

Carly-fornia Dreaming 26, Meagan It Happen 13

Megoonsta’s 30, Missydemeanor 22

-Games of the Day:

10:00 - Flying Balls vs Not So Sticky

11:00 - Can’t Touch This vs Legends

12:00 - Pit Harade vs Victorious Secret

1:00 - Cat-Tastrophie vs Sticky Laces

2:00 - Coochie Monsters vs PowerPuff Girls

3:00 - Irish Giants vs Select

-If the weather isn’t going to be great, it’ll be an advantage for the teams that are playing early before the fields get a little rough.

-And no, the games won’t be cancelled. Don’t even start.

-I can’t believe how fast this season went, it feels like we just got started on it.

-Jeff Krol has sent the captains the link to voting for awards and MVPs of the season. ASK YOUR CAPTAINS FOR THE LINK IF YOU’D LIKE TO VOTE.

-The TSL Banquet is still scheduled for 12/4, but the League is still ironing out the details of it. The information should be coming out asap. Stay tuned.

-The fields are getting behind on time a bit too often, please do your part and make sure your team is ready to go before your game starts. Come 10 minutes early! The refs will NOT wait for you. Also, feel free to yell at any pokey refs that aren’t keeping things on time. Especially Garrett.

-There are still an alarming amount of TSLers who have no idea that this website exists, and they’re not reading the articles or listening to the podcasts. Do your part and share the word!

-Legends, Coochie Monsters, Victorious Secret. These three teams will end up as the other #1 seeds when all is said and done.
